In 2005 St John's church celebrated 150 years with a series of concerts.

Since then the demand for these concerts has grown steadily . St Johns has been described as a “must play” venue for many young artists.

 

In 2009 the church was "re-ordered" -pews were removed, a platform built, lighting improved -toilets and a kitchen installed. All of the improvements make the music performances even more enjoyable.  Wheelchair friendly ramps were installed at both entrances.

 

Performance Area

The platform and front of platform can accommodate a good sized orchestra.   

There is room in the church to seat 200.

Lighting for the platform area is of very good quality.

 

There are small rooms available for performers to change.
