Amanda Cook and Bibi Heal:

Guitar and Voice

Amanda is one of the leading guitarists of her generation, acclaimed for her sensitive musicality, fluid technique, and ability to draw the audience in to her world. Together with soprano Bibi Heal, the duo present an entertaining programme of the heartwarming to the heartbreaking, as they trace the common themes of love, trust and tragedy through folk tales.

The music of Britten, de Falla and Rodrigo is brought alive by the intimate pairing of voice and guitar. The programme will also feature the world premiere of a work by Welsh guitarist Gerard Cousins, commissioned by the Cardiff Guitar Festival in partnership with Tŷ Cerdd.
